"The Gilded Age" is a response to the back-to-back suicides of designer Kate Spade and author/chef Anthony Bourdain. The grip of depression and the feeling of hopelessness weighs heavy on many. Often it is masked by the gilded luster of fame or the shiny surface of success. The veneer is thin. It offers no protection.
